Terms & Conditions

The rules for submitting, publishing, and featuring products on RareWeb.

Effective Sep 9, 2026

1. About RareWeb

RareWeb is an editorially curated Open Shelf and Startup Directory for independent software and digital products. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, publication, placement, or continued availability.

2. Eligible products

Submissions must link to a publicly accessible, functioning website for an active SaaS product, software application, developer tool, digital product, or other software-based service that visitors can meaningfully use.

Personal portfolios, resumes, biography pages, personal-brand sites, generic blogs, agency brochure sites, informational sites without a usable software product, parked domains, placeholder pages, coming-soon pages, broken websites, and pages primarily intended to redirect visitors elsewhere are not eligible.

3. Prohibited content

RareWeb does not accept products that contain or promote adult, sexual, pornographic, or other 18+ content; illegal goods or services; fraud; phishing; malware; deceptive activity; gambling or betting; hate or harassment; exploitation; violent extremism; intellectual-property infringement; impersonation; or misleading health, legal, or financial claims.

4. Your authority and information

By submitting a product, you confirm that you are authorized to promote it and to provide its name, website, copy, logo, and other assets. You are responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information and for keeping the destination website lawful, safe, and functional.

5. Editorial review

RareWeb may accept, reject, request changes to, suspend, or remove any submission in its editorial discretion. Payment is requested only after a paid Startup Directory submission is accepted. Payment does not purchase editorial approval or endorsement.

6. Free placements

Open Shelf listings do not require a publication payment. Submissions go through editorial review and are published after acceptance. Free listings use direct external links marked nofollow and may be moved, suspended, or removed under these Terms.

7. Paid Startup Directory listings

An accepted Startup Directory listing costs a one-time US $5 publication fee. RareWeb creates the checkout through Dodo Payments and publishes the profile after receiving an authoritative successful-payment confirmation.

A published paid listing receives a permanent Startup Directory profile, a direct sponsored website link, a RareWeb paid-verification badge, priority placement, and eligibility for paid Daily and Weekly Pick positions. Permanent means that the profile has no recurring listing fee or scheduled expiration; it does not prevent suspension, removal, platform closure, technical changes, or changes required by law or third-party policy.

8. Payment and refunds

Dodo Payments acts as the checkout and payment provider. Its checkout terms, supported payment methods, taxes, and payment processing rules may also apply. Except where required by law or where RareWeb cannot provide the purchased publication, the publication fee is non-refundable after the listing is published.

9. Badge and priority placement

The RareWeb badge confirms only that a listing passed RareWeb's editorial process and its publication payment was successfully recorded. It is not a certification of security, reliability, legality, business performance, or product claims.

Priority placement means paid listings are considered for designated paid positions and may be ordered ahead of free listings on applicable surfaces. It does not guarantee a particular position or duration outside an explicitly confirmed editorial selection.

10. Daily and Weekly Picks

RareWeb may publish three Daily Picks using two paid positions and one free position, and twelve Weekly Picks using eight paid positions and four free positions. The position types are fixed and are not substituted when an eligible product is unavailable.

A product cannot appear in overlapping active Daily and Weekly selections. Eligibility, payment, or priority consideration does not guarantee selection. RareWeb may leave a picks section unpublished until the required editorial selection is complete.

11. Links and search visibility

Paid listings ordinarily receive direct links marked sponsored. Free listings ordinarily receive direct links marked nofollow. RareWeb does not promise search rankings, indexing, domain authority, or any SEO result and may change link attributes when reasonably required by law, abuse prevention, security, platform integrity, or search-engine policy.

12. No guaranteed results

RareWeb does not guarantee traffic, clicks, leads, sales, revenue, investment, partnerships, search placement, or conversions. Publication and editorial selection do not constitute an endorsement of a product or its owners.

13. Suspension and removal

RareWeb may review a listing at any time and may suspend or remove it without prior notice when it violates these Terms, misrepresents its product, becomes unavailable, creates risk for readers or RareWeb, or is otherwise no longer suitable for publication. The listing owner remains responsible for the linked website, product, content, and transactions.

14. Changes to these Terms

RareWeb may update these Terms as the service evolves. New submissions accept the version presented at submission time. Material changes affecting existing listings will apply when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, or comply with legal requirements for the service.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms, a listing, or a payment can be sent to support@rarewebmagazine.space.
